A two day FDP on 21st century concept coaching teaching and learning skills was conducted on 16.12.2022 and 17.12.2022 to enhance the teaching skills of the teaching faculties of Nilgiri College of Arts and Science by the IQAC. Dr. Manoj AS, Head- planning, competency development and innovations, ICT Academy Kerala was the renowned resource person of the session. The expected outcomes of the FDP were predefined and pre-formulated. The FDP focused on key areas like enhancing the abilities to use different teaching methodologies for active learning, enabling the faculty members to become inspiring teachers and to enable the faculties to be updated regarding the technological growth in the field of learning and to highlight the role of teacher in the society. The FDP was conducted in the Nalanda hall. The same was inaugurated by the Secretary and Managing director, Mr. Rshid Gazzali. Ms. Leema Thomas, Head Department of English delivered the welcome speech and Ms. Soumya PB, Assistant Professor of English, introduced the resource person and about 40 faculties gave their active participation in the sessions followed. The day two of the FDP started with reflections, activities and various areas of teaching were analysed throughout the day. The facilities actively participated in the skits and towards the end a short meditation session embellished the overall experience of the FDP. The feedback was collected and majority of the participants reflected a positive feedback on the same. The session was concluded with a valedictory session and Prof. Mohan Babu, Academic Dean delivered the valedictory address and the resource person. Dr. Manoj AS, gave his concluding remarks. The guests were honored with mementos as token of love and appreciation Mr. Renjith. KV, Principal In charge and Head, Department of Computer science proposed the vote of thanks.
