Department of English commenced since the inception of the college. The department fosters broader understanding of literature and cultural spheres through interactive discourses. We promulgate novel practices to motivate reading, writing and skill development that can result in the enhancement of knowledge and competence in our domain. The department forum offers a space for the students to showcase their artistic and intellectual potentials. The various activities conducted in the department help them to face the society. The department also offers specialized certificate programs, extension activities, value added programmes and skill based courses. The aim of the department is to equip the students with critical thinking and various skills, which will enable them to fit into various fields of the society.
We believe in the potency of the language that sustains the discourse of the globe as the world dresses up itself anglophile in the digital landscapes. Success is wrought only by imparting lessons to meet the global competencies.
