In a significant development for higher education in accountancy and finance, Nilgiri College of Arts & Science, based in Thaloor, Tamil Nadu, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Strategic Educational Professionals Private Limited (SEPPL), a representative of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in India. This partnership marks Nilgiri College as an Official Partner of ACCA, paving the way for advanced professional opportunities for its students. The MoU was signed by Dr. Rashid Gazali, Managing Director of Nilgiri College, and Mohammed Sajid Khan, Director of ACCA India, highlighting the mutual commitment to enhancing educational and career prospects for students in the field of accountancy. A notable advantage for Nilgiri College students under this partnership is the exemption of five ACCA papers, which may increase to up to nine in the future. Additionally, ACCA has agreed to waive the annual subscription fee for the first year for students participating in this program. The MoU is set to last for three years from the commencement date, with annual reviews to ensure its effectiveness and relevance. Both institutions have expressed intentions to explore further cooperative opportunities beyond those initially outlined, ensuring a dynamic and responsive partnership. This partnership represents a substantial step forward in Nilgiri College’s efforts to enhance its educational offerings and provide its students with significant advantages in the competitive field of finance and accountancy.
